The Orchid Cottage was designed to make your visit a unique, comfortable and memorable experience. Our rooms are spacious, our rates are competitive and the service is unparalleled.
The cottage is tucked away in a corner of the garden at Afri Orchids and is literally a short stroll away from our vast collection of orchids. There are an abundance of orchids in the trees around the house too, allowing you to sip something cold on the deck, whilst staring at a few beauties in flower.

Breakfast
A basket with delicious breakfast items can be reserved under additional services.
Free Wifi
The cottage has free, unlimited wifi and a smart tv where you can stream your favourite shows.
Garden
The cottage has private garden with large trees and many orchids. A braai area is nestled under the trees. Sip your sundowner on the large deck while the children explore.
Daily Housekeeping
Our staff will take care of the dirty dishes and tangled sheets, so you can relax without worrying about reality.
Kitchen
We have equipped the kitchen with a gas stove, electric oven and all the utensils you will need to cook up a storm. Not in the mood to cook? We offer some dinner option too.
In-house Dinner Service
We can arrange for dinner in the cottage, either as a frozen or hot meal or a tapas style dinner. Please book in advance as we do not have a restaurant and need to shop in advance.

THINGS TO DO
Greenhouse Tour
The best part about cottage is its proximity to the Afri Orchids collection. The greenhouses are full of interesting and unique orchid species from around the world. We'll gladly take you on a tour of the collection. Just pop us an email to request this service, as we are not always available.
Sudwala Caves
We are just under twenty minutes away from the Sudwala Caves. This is a great place for a day trip.
Kruger National Park
This is the ideal stop-over on your way to or from Kruger. And we can ship your orchid purchases to you if you are running low on space in your vehicle.
Leisure Activities
There are plenty of dirt roads around the farm should you feel the need to hike, jog or cycle.
Birds Watching
The farm has an enviable bird list and a short drive takes you to the higher elevations of Kaapschehoop. We added a guide book to the house, just in case.
Games and fun
There are a number of popular board games in the cottage to keep the young and the young-at-heart busy.
